2012: The Year in Music, Part 3 of 4

Part 3. (part 2. part 1.)

Musically, it’s been a strange year. I’ve been trrbl about listening to full albums. More than ever, I’ve found myself getting stuck on singles (many Spotify playlists were streamed in ‘postrophe 12). I even just came to the realization that I didn’t buy even ONE CD this year. Nuts.

Am I in a musical rut or something? I don’t really think so … because a lot of said singles I really enjoyed. An played over and over. And over.

I’m going to share my favorite 2012 singles (or album cuts) in four parts — and I thought I’d present them in a way where they could be viewed in a bit more of a “fleshed out” manner. Whenever possible, I tried to find a live in-studio performance or well recorded live show of each tune. And so you can compare it to the studio version, I embedded that audio for each. HOPE YOU ENJOY IT.
